3D Printed Sculpture of “CHAOSMAN”, Flexible Plywood, Embroidered Muslin, Mirrors, Stones, Digital Projector

This piece embodies the idea of focus in a transcendent way. The circular form of this sculpture encapsulates the idea of unity and oneness, which compensates for today’s lack of awareness and appreciation of life. A projector placed above the sculpture animates the lighting to give a sense of constant change, which builds an atmosphere of contemporary peace.

This piece explores the concept of biomorphism and how different forms of curved shapes can change the future of architecture by redesigning a revered building built in the past. Reshaping the general form of the neoclassical-designed building gives a feel of what the future will be like. This redesign keeps the overall shape of the building while putting more emphasis on the statue with the use of curves.

The “CHAOSMAN” character embodies the form of a wooden art figurine used to reference human bodies when drawing or painting, which communicates the idea of what art itself can be. The eyes and the brain show the contrast between a sense of being alive and not, at the same time.

The CHAOSMAN X CHAOS-theory™ Series artwork in black and white was used on the CHAOS-theory™ CHAOSMAN TEE and CHAOSMAN HOODIE in collaboration with CHAOS-theory™. This series of artworks saturated with color allows the viewer to take in the vividness of Ngo’s CHAOSVERSE world.

This painting was created using a variety of mediums to invoke a sense of the chaotic world we live in, as well as the constant ever-changing mind of Ngo. With a closer look, the screen-printed text design on the back of the “CHAOSVERSE TEE” can be seen repeated throughout the artwork as a motif. The various drawings and writings in the painting show glimpses of Ngo’s life and other profound ideas and questions that may have affected his way of thinking.
